Rosa Parks grew up in Alabama, where she learned to stand up for herself at an early age. She grew up to become a civil rights activist whose courage and dignity launched a movement that would end racial segregation. Rosa would never stop her fight for equal rights. She became an example to countless people of courage, dignity and perseverance in the fight against inequality.
